The band’s ambient experimental pop presents familiar sounds and feelings to us through a stirringly unfamiliar lens, provoking us to consider our world at a distance, looking at life as if from a bird’s eye view.

Rising out of silence and rushing back from a roar, Fellover My Own beckons us to dwell in its otherworldly state, only to reveal that we are merely seeing another side to the world we already knew!”
— Mitch Mosk, Atwood Magazine

A Delicate Motor is originally a sound composition and live performance project by Adam Petersen. Using keyboard instruments, tonal percussion and voice, ADM composes by way of energetic improvisation, live layering and meditations of the repetition of loops.

The second full-length album from A Delicate Motor, Fellover My Own, features guitar and bass work from Stephen Patota [Lazy Heart, The Happy Maladies], with the drumming and production prowess of Ben Sloan [Lazy Heart, WHY?]. Presently, the live ensemble is fortified by the effort of Brianna Kelly [guitar, voice], Rachel Mousie [keys, voice], and Libby Landis [voice].

During the Homecoming Festival of April 2018, for which Ben Sloan [ADM drummer] was named Artist in Residence, A Delicate Motor composed and performed a body of new music. They have since recorded the music, produced by Ben Sloan and Stephen Patota, an EP called Any Moment which features the musicianship of all six members of ADM.
